I want you to think about something that you are telling yourself you HAVE to do. Maybe you HAVE to stay married to your husband because divorce is not an option, or you HAVE to have your kids in all of the activities, or you HAVE to eat a salad instead of the oreos you’re craving. 

When we tell ourselves that we HAVE to do something, we’re taking away our agency and causing resentment towards whomever we perceive as the reason we HAVE to do that thing.
